Medical Science Liason - Panama

As a part of the OM Pharma LATAM business continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our CENAM team Responsible for the development of relationships with key opinion leaders in the field, you will be a medical expert for your assigned therapeutic area. Reporting to the Medical Affairs Manager CENAM & Perú / MSL Lead your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Build relationships and establishing networks with key opinion leaders in assigned territories (national and regional).
• Serve as a scientific expert for internal and external partners.
• Ensure dissemination of medical information including presentations to health care professionals.
• Respond to unsolicited, specific, individual requests for information from health care professionals. 
• Identify investigators for clinical trials and respond to queries from clinicians wishing to conduct their own trials.
• Gather information from certain groups such as key opinion leaders, brand teams, infield teams, etc.
• Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to provide medical support for requests related to the introduction of new products or new indications for existing products
• Training company staff and providing disease area information
• Develop and collaborate in medical activities such as round tables, seminars, symposiums and Advisory Boards
• Providing support at internal and external medical initiatives
• Be the key Medical expert for target the Therapeutic Area assigned.
• The successful candidate has at least two-three years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry and will bring the following profile:

• A recognized bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Science or Science (Medicine), preferably PhD or equivalent
• Minimum of three years’ experience in clinical practice, research, or pharmaceutical medical affairs.
• This position will be based in Panama City.
• Extensive knowledge of the Panamanian pharmaceutical market.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the field as an MSL.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Field based position. Travel may include overnight stay. Other travel for business meetings as required (80% dedicated to field activities, Congress participation and Internal meetings).
