Medical Affairs Team Lead and MSL - Field-based (Romandie/Ticino)

Following the growth of our product portfolio, we are strengthening our teams and recruiting a Medical Affairs Team Lead and MSL for our Swiss Affiliate in Fribourg. Working in close collaboration and reporting to the Head of Medical Swiss Affiliate, your missions are to lead the Medical Affairs and MSL team and to manage an assigned product portfolio in Critical Care for all Medical Affairs activities as well as for the liaison with Key Opinion Leaders in the French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of 3 Medical Affairs Managers and 2 Medical Science Liaison
- Drive Medical Affairs strategy at affiliate level and ensure delivery of all local Medical Affairs activities
- Provide Medical leadership in elaboration of product strategies
- Respond to scientific product-related enquiries coming from external and internal stakeholders
- Ensure KOL liaison and support
- Organize Advisory Boards and company-sponsored symposiums
- Attend congresses and seminars in relevant therapeutic areas to maintain knowledge and ensure contact to KOLs/critical external audience
- Ensure medical validation of promotional material
- Evaluate and monitor Investigator-initiated studies, PEBs and non-interventional studies
- Collect, analyze and document scientific information related to the assigned products and their competitors
This position is field based. On-site presence in Villars-sur-Glâne is required about 1 day / week.
To carry out this mission, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
- Scientific or Medical education (Master’s, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of the local pharmaceutical industry and the Swiss legal/health system environment
- Proven experience in people management
- Demonstrated experience in KOL, HCP or medical community engagement
- Fluency in French with good knowledge of German and English; speaking Italian would be a plus
