To complete our Preclinical Research team, we are recruiting a Preclinical Scientist (80%) based at our headquarters in Geneva, for an 18-months limited contract from November 2024 until the end of April 2026. Reporting to the Preclinical Research Lead, your mission is to drive external academic or CROs collaborations in the field of immune-metabolism / mucosal immunology, and provide scientific expertise to support internal multidisciplinary teams (such as Analytical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial teams). 

 

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Assist or lead of external studies related to OM Brands conducted by academic or CROs
  • Filing, review, and/or control scientific documents (protocols, reports…) or preclinical sections from Regulatory Affairs documents (IB, IND, IMPD…)
  • Organize OM Brands shipment to academics, CROs and partners
  • Leverage the most recent scientific knowledge for designing new preclinical studies in alignment with OM pipeline priorities/activities
  • Critically review existing data on OM Pharma bacterial lysates and orient future research, leading to better understanding of the products MoA and potential new TA 
  • Prepare and present scientific data for internal meetings 
  • Review scientific publications reporting OM’s preclinical study results 
  • Contribute to the identification of new markers/parameters that can be used in preclinic and especially in clinic as a readout of efficacy for our products 
  • Based on your practical experience and skills, and on the knowledge of the bacterial products’ MoA provide scientific support to Bioanalytical Development team and Quality Assurance teams for the development of relevant models to better characterize OM Pharma Bacterial Lysates and their manufacturing process

 

This position does not include «wet lab/bench» activities.

 

To carry out this mission, we are looking for a person with the following profile:

  • Ph.D. in cell biology, immunology and/or Pharm.D (mandatory), with a focus on mucosal immunology and/or immunometabolism (preferred) and, ideally, Post-Doctoral experience 
  • Experience in conceiving experimental plans, performing in vitro/ex-vivo experiments and/or interpreting data from experimental studies
  • Experience in revising and editing of executive summary of research results
  • Effective communication skills in presenting results
  • Fluency in English (speaking & writing); speaking French is an asset
