Regional Commercial Head EMEA - Geneva

We are seeking a Regional Commercial Head EMEA for our headquarters in Geneva. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead a team of two and focus on expanding our sales throughout the EMEA region. Your responsibilities include strengthening existing partnerships, forming new ones, and identifying business opportunities within the area. Collaboration with internal teams such as Alliance Management & Partnering, Global Medical Affairs, Global Marketing, and Customer Operations is essential for your success.
Your main tasks include:
- Managing, coaching, setting goals, and developing your team.
- Gaining comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, competitor activities, opportunities, challenges, and customer and patient needs across the region.
- Establishing commercial and sales strategies for the region and individual countries.
- Achieving sales goals by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating sales tactics and promotional programs in partnership with others.
- Working closely with marketing, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs to develop territory action plans and monitoring progress.
- Providing information to internal stakeholders through data collection, analysis, and trend summaries.
- Maintaining regular contact with key partners via periodic visits, addressing specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
- Building and maintaining strong, trustworthy relationships with both existing and new partners.
- Managing budgets and deadlines.
- Encouraging cross-department collaboration.
The role requires business travel between 20% and 40% of your working time.
To succeed, we are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial candidate with the following qualifications:
- University degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum seven years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record in Sales and Marketing roles, ideally with affiliate and international exposure
- Strong analytical, strategic, and execution skills
- Excellent scientific and medical knowledge
- Fluent English communication; additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German are advantageous
